About Us
At Amber Sperling Social Work and Psychotherapy Services, we are more than a therapy practice—we are a movement for change, fostering healing, connection, and empowerment at every stage of motherhood and beyond. We specialize in perinatal mental health, birth trauma, and women’s health transitions, using evidence-based trauma therapies like EMDR to create meaningful, lasting transformation.
We’re expanding our team and looking for a therapist who is passionate about supporting women through life’s biggest transitions, from pregnancy and postpartum to perimenopause.
The Role
As an EMDR Therapist with a women’s health focus, you will:
Provide individual therapy using EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches.
Support women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, reproductive challenges, and other life transitions.
Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded clinicians in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Contribute to a culture rooted in authenticity, humility, community, and connection.
What We Offer
Strong referral base with consistent client demand in Barrie, Orillia, and virtually across Ontario.
Administrative support so you can focus on therapy, not paperwork.
Collaborative team culture that values shared learning, peer support, and professional growth.
Opportunities for involvement in community partnerships, education, and advocacy.
Flexible scheduling that respects your life outside of the therapy room.
What We’re Looking For
Registered Social Worker (RSW/MSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP/Qualifying considered) in good standing with your college.
Training and experience in EMDR therapy (basic training required; advanced training is an asset).
A passion for women’s health and perinatal mental health.
Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered, and evidence-based care.
Comfort with hybrid work (in-person and virtual sessions).
